Phase I (Lumen Eradication for Mixed Infections): Boric Acid, an inorganic antimicrobial, acidifies the vaginal lumen to a physiological pH of 3.8-4.5, mechanically disrupting pathogenic biofilms (bacterial and fungal) without inducing microbial resistance. Recommended Dosage: 1 intravaginal capsule once daily (OD).
Method of Administration: FOR INTRAVAGINAL USE ONLY. DO NOT SWALLOW. Insert one capsule deep into the vaginal canal, preferably at bedtime to maximize mucosal contact time and minimize leakage.
Duration of Therapy: The full 14-day protocol is strictly required. While pH gradient normalization occurs rapidly, the entire 14-day duration is necessary for complete glycoprotein cross-linking (mucosal sealing) and prebiotic fibroblast proliferation.
Maintenance Protocol: For severe chronic VRS or recurrent dysbiosis, step down to a maintenance dose of 1 capsule bi-weekly following the initial 14-day eradication protocol.
Pregnancy: VGNOIR is strictly contraindicated during pregnancy due to the presence of a clinical-strength inorganic antimicrobial.
Oral Toxicity: Boric acid is highly toxic if ingested orally. Keep strictly out of reach of children and separate from oral medications to prevent accidental swallowing.
Mucosal Ulcerations: Do not use in the presence of active, open vaginal ulcerations or severe mucosal lacerations, as this may increase the risk of systemic absorption of the inorganic core.
